Since 2015, I am pursuing my PhD on Cape Verdean Music, specifically on the tradition of Kolá San Jon on the islands of São Vicente and Santo Antão.
For SONACT, I am working as a pre-doc researcher in the DFG-project "Sounding Memories: Nazi Persecution and Anti-Nazi Resistance in the Music of Contemporary Germany" at the University of Cologne in which I am responsible for the sub-project "Musical Memorializations of the Sinti und Roma Minority".
